We are in the middle of the ski season and Baqueira Beret, located in the Catalan region of the Aran Valley, is one of the most important ski resorts in the country.
Below, we are going to give you all the details about the ski pass in this resort. In this article you’ll see the modalities, prices and discounts. You will also receive information on how to buy your ski passes digitally, making it easier to book and avoiding crowds.
The ski pass in Baqueira Beret
What is the Baqueira ski pass and how does it work?
Baqueira forfait/ski pass is the official pass that gives you access to one of the most prestigious ski resorts in Europe, located in the heart of the Aran Valley. This pass is not only necessary to enjoy the 167 kilometres of skiable slopes of Baqueira Beret, but also includes access to the ski lifts, making it easy to get around the resort quickly and comfortably.
Designed to adapt to the needs of each visitor, the ski pass offers different modalities: from daily passes for those planning a short getaway, to season passes, ideal for the most passionate skiers. It also includes options for different ages and levels, with special rates for children, young people and seniors.
How it works is simple: when you buy your ski pass, it is loaded with the necessary information and activated when you pass through the turnstiles at the ski lifts. Currently, you can purchase it both online and at the ticket office, allowing you to plan your visit in advance and avoid queues.
This forfait not only guarantees access to the slopes, but also offers exclusive benefits such as discounts on resort services and access to special events. Whether you are an experienced skier or a beginner, the Baqueira ski pass is the first step to making the most of a unique experience in the snow.
To buy a forfait/ski pass, the first thing to do is to know what type of ski pass you need depending on how many days you are going to come and enjoy the snow.
At Totiaran, we offer our clients rechargeable ski passes provided directly by Baqueira. This exclusive service allows them to skip the ticket office and head straight to the lifts, saving time and enhancing their experience at the resort. The ski passes can be easily recharged through the Baqueira Beret website or app, providing convenience and flexibility for their ski day.
Types of ski pass in Baqueira
There are two types of passes: the day pass or BaqueiraTicket (you can buy it at the ticket office) and the Baqueira Pass.
BaqueiraTICKET
This is a non-nominal card that can be reused throughout the season, rechargeable online by day and at the cost of the general rate. The Baqueira Ticket does not actually have a cost, but is recharged at the applicable entrance fee and is used for occasional visits.
The BaqueiraTicket can also be purchased at the station’s ticket offices, located in Baqueira 1700, Val de Ruda, Pla de Beret and Bonaigua. It can also be collected in person at the various partner establishments.
- Resort information points
- Shops where you can buy, repair and hire equipment.
- Valls d’Àneu and Val d’Aran Hotels
- Tourist offices
- Other allied points
You can top up your BaqueiraTICKET online or buy your passes without a BaqueiraTICKET. If you choose the latter option, when you make the payment, you will be provided with a link with the information on your ski pass purchase, which you can then associate with the physical BaqueiraTICKET when you pick it up at one of the allied points.
Until now, this type of ski pass has been issued with a self-adhesive paper with a magnetic strip that you must carry in a visible place.
Important: It is necessary to physically carry the BaqueiraTICKET duly recharged to access the ski lifts. Not carrying the BaqueiraTICKET is not enough to access the ski lifts, even if you have bought a recharge.
BaqueiraPASS
BaqueiraPASS is the Baqueira Beret ski pass holder that allows you to recharge directly from the website for the days you are going to ski or for the whole season, in the case of those who ski the most. This is the format launched last season, the most convenient and economical way to ski without having to go to the ticket office.
It offers lower prices than the general rate (BaqueiraTICKET), and allows online top-ups for the pass holder as well as family and friends. Once you have topped up, all you have to do is go to the resort and start skiing. It pays for itself in 5 days of skiing.
In addition, you can receive exclusive promotions through its renewed APP. As every year, along with this type of ski pass, you can purchase the classic day ski pass at the ticket offices. Just like the BaqueiraTICKET, you can find these points of sale in the aforementioned areas of the Bonaigua viewpoint; the Baqueira 1700 cable car; the Val de Ruda development, at the foot of the slopes; and the Pla de Beret area, where you can go cross-country skiing.
BaqueiraPASS can be applied for online by adding your identification documents and photograph, and then it can be delivered to your home address after 5 days, or you can collect it from the station ticket office if you live outside the resort. In this case, it costs €10, is personal and valid for 3 years. Once issued, it allows you to carry out all the necessary online procedures via the website (ski days, check bills, recharge ski passes, etc.) and access other exclusive services from the Baqueira Beret App, such as Skitrack, restaurant bookings and more.
The Season Pass
The season pass can be loaded on the Baqueira Pass holder, similar to last year, and is also valid for 3 years. Its price is 1050 € if you are an adult, but there are also other modalities if you are a minor or retired. Here are the prices:
