Unha

Where is Unha and how to get there?

Unha is a small, picturesque village located in the Aran Valley region, in the heart of the Pyrenees, in the province of Lleida, Catalonia, Spain. It is located at an altitude of approximately 1,300 metres above sea level, which gives it a unique natural environment, surrounded by mountains and breathtaking views.

The most commonway to reach Unha is by car. From Lleida, the capital of the province, take the N-230 road towards Vielha, the capital of the Aran Valley. From Vielha, follow the C-28 towards Salardú, a journey that takes approximately 20 minutes. Unha is a few kilometres from Salardú, on a secondary road that climbs up towards the village.

Unha stands out for its traditional Aranese architecture, with stone houses, slate roofs and wooden balconies that preserve the style of the region. The village is known for the church of Santa Eulàlia, a 12th-century Romanesque temple that houses a bell tower with a very characteristic tower structure.

Moreover, its location in the Val d’Aran makes it an excellent starting point for exploring the surrounding landscapes and enjoying outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing in winter, and observing the local fauna and flora.
