Port de la Bonaigua will be open or closed depending on weather conditions. It\u2019s a place highly exposed to Atlantic storms and, in winter, it gets heavy snowfall due to its high altitude. As a result, the C-28 road that crosses the pass may be closed for safety reasons, especially during the winter months. At other times, even if it isn\u2019t closed, traffic may be restricted or allowed only for vehicles with snow chains.    <\/p>\n\n<p>Nowadays, maintenance services work to ensure good traffic conditions and avoid closing the road, but it isn\u2019t always possible. This happens for most of the year and is due to Atlantic influence combined with the altitude. If you want to increase your chances of good weather at Port de la Bonaigua, we recommend visiting in summer.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Activities and nearby ski resorts<\/h2>\n\n<p>Port de Bonaigua connects several charming mountain villages, which is why it\u2019s such an important place in the region.
